The Reg Day Museum at Dunsfold was created in 2004 by its namesake, Reg Day.

Reg was passionate about preserving a record of all military and related activities and artefacts specific to the use of Dunsfold Aerodrome from 1942 onwards.

This passion came from Reg’s history with the Aerodrome which began in 1943 when he was a serving member of 98 Squadron RAF during the Second World War.

The Exhibits

Reg has created a museum of memorabilia which recounts life at Dunsfold Aerodrome during the Second World War.

Many of the artefacts are personal to Reg and his time on the Aerodrome but it also includes donations of memorabilia from local people and families whose relatives also served on the Aerodrome.

Volunteer

Without volunteers supporting the Museum in a variety of roles throughout the year, we wouldn’t be able to open our doors.

Volunteers share their knowledge and enthusiasm by delivering tours, helping the public enjoy the collection and supporting behind-the-scenes activities.

Every volunteer offers invaluable support to the Museum, and they get something back from it too.

Visit us

The museum is open at Dunsfold Park from 10:00 to 15:00 every Wednesday by appointment.
